This year, we choose wild, unexpected freedom; the kind that brings more laughter and less worry, more contentment and less hustle. Freedom that is so contagious, the people around us are compelled toward their own liberation.
Perhaps, now is our time to take this seriously.
To let LOVE be the loudest voice.
To be GUTSY.
And to GO FIRST
This year, may we experience a new understand of what it mean to live FREE INDEED
What is MOPS?
MOPS is a grassroots movement that believes moms are world influencers. That’s why we connect moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own neighborhoods, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood.
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, and by preschoolers we mean kiddos from birth through kindergarten. We know it’s a little confusing so let’s just stick with “MOPS.”
We are moms, and we believe that better moms make a better world.
When do you meet?
We generally meet every other week on Mondays from 9:30 – 11:30. For breaks and weather cancellations, we follow the Northshore School District Calendar.
How much does it cost and what does that cover?
For the 2016-2017 MOPS year, the fee will be $165. This will cover 15 meetings from September to May where childcare will be included for children through Kindergarten. This will also pay your membership fee for MOPS International.
Is there childcare and what is it like?
As mentioned above, childcare is included with your Sola MOPS fee. This one time fee will cover any kids you bring from newborns to Kindergarten. We will have three classrooms depending on the need. A room for the younger children will come with snacks and toys for entertainment. The older room or two will cover snacks, entertainment and an engaging curriculum with a craft. Our hope is to have a homeschool room in the near future.
How do I know if this group is right for me?
We would love for you to join us if you are a mom that is expecting for the first time untll your last little one is in Kindergarten. We hope to build a community of moms who can come together to discuss all that pertains to motherhood and to support one another. Even though MOPS is a Christian organization, anyone is welcome and you do not have to be a Christian yourself.
Can I visit your group before I join?
Of course you are welcome! We allow for one visit before you join to see if our group is something that will work for you. We do need to know you are coming beforehand to ensure we have enough childcare workers to provide excellent care for your little ones. Please email us to schedule a visit.
Can I make payments?
Yes, our registration system allows for partial and multiple payments, but we request a case deposit after your first visit.
